Those entering the coastal governorates will need to undergo a PCR test if one is not presented upon arrival. Self isolation is required until test results are received. Since 1 September, all arrivals (including Egyptian residents) need to present a negative PCR test taken 72 hours prior to departure. Since 1 July 2020, international tourism has resumed. Travel within Egypt is restricted to certain areas, such as seaside resorts that have been least affected by Covid-19. Arrivals need to fill in a Public Health Card and need to show proof of health insurance. Temperature checks are done upon arrival.
