Since 7 November 2020, those returning to the UK from Germany need to quarantine. Since 23 October 2020, travellers arriving in Germany from the UK will need to take a Covid-19 test or quarantine for 14 days depending on the German state. International tourism travel for some third party countries reopened from 2 July 2020. Those arriving from a high risk area need to present a negative Covid-19 test result or undergo mandatory testing upon arrival, and, depending on the German state, may have to enter quarantine for 14 days. Travellers may be exempt from quarantine if a negative test result is received.
