Since 12 September 2020, those returning to England or Northern Ireland need to quarantine for 14 days upon arrival. Restrictions may differ for the Portuguese Islands. Since 4 September, those returning to Wales or Scotland from Portugal need to quarantine for 14 days upon arrival. Borders have reopened for international tourism. Travellers from the EU and Schengen area countries, as well as some third party countries can enter the country for tourism purposes. Travellers need to complete a passenger locator card before arrival. A health screening will take place upon arrival. If travellers present Covid-19 symptoms, they need to take a Covid-19 test and self-isolate until results are received. Otherwise, there is currently no quarantine in place for arrivals. Travellers from any other country have to present a negative Covid-19 test upon arrival.
